Harry Potter's Holiday Romance or Caught Red Handed

Harry Potter's Holiday Romance

The Chosen One has been spotted enjoying his sunny summer holiday in very strange company. Even though our handsome young hero has no shortage of friends, or willing female companions should he so desire, he has elected to holiday alone. Or has he? Our sources have frequently observed him in the company of none other than the infamous Draco Malfoy.

Harry Potter, defeater of You-Know-Who and promising young trainee Auror, is spending his well-earned holiday break from the gruelling Auror training programme in the idyllic Greek island of Mykonos. (See page 56 for an overview of this Mediterranean holiday location).

Our readers will surely recall that Mr Malfoy is the son of the notorious Death Eater Lucius Malfoy. Malfoy Senior is currently serving a sentence in the wizarding prison of Azkaban. Draco Malfoy was also tried for war crimes and has since served out his (extraordinarily light, in our opinion) sentence. (For details on the trials of the whole Malfoy family as well as other known Death Eaters, see page 35). In recent years the young Draco Malfoy has made frequent appearances in our society pages as a generous donor to a wide variety of charities in an attempt to prove himself a reformed, upstanding member of society. (See page 40 for a short retrospective).

It seems that wizarding Britain's most eligible young bachelor has been won over by the apparently rehabilitated ex-Slytherin, for the two young men have been practically inseparable during their stay in the popular Greek isle. The two sought-after bachelors have been spotted on numerous occasions by our sources enjoying each other's company on the island's famous golden-sanded beaches, or in a number of the many colourful Muggle nightclubs and restaurants that the fashionable Greek island has to offer.

One can't help but wonder if this odd couple are simply taking advantage of each other's company - something that they have never been detected doing while within the shores of their home country - or if they haven't rather assimilated a little bit too much of Mykonos' famously flamboyant - and dare we say uranian? - lifestyle and gone native?

But before breaking this distressing news to wizarding Britain's young female population, we couldn't but give our young hero, the wizarding world's most eligible bachelor, the benefit of the doubt. To shed some light on the subject we interviewed the confused young man's closest friends and confidants.

We found Ron Weasley, Harry Potter's long time best friend and Auror co-trainee, outside his family's house in Ottery-St-Catchpole ... (continued on page 2).
